Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar
Dictator for Life, though your life was cut short by conspiracy, you will be remembered always.
"You have done that you should be sorry for,
There is no terror, Cassius, in your threats,
For I am armed so strong in honesty
That they pass me by as idle as the wind
Which I respect not."- Brutus Act IV, Scene III

Caesar Murdered on the Ides of March!

CAESAR MURDERED!

Oh sad day! Caesar has been murdered this morning, the Ides of March, at the capitol building.
Calphurnia, wife of Great Caesar is all but grief stricken at her husband's death. She tried to convince him to stay home and not go to the capitol but Caesar, being easily flattered by Decius Brutus, decided to go any how. Once inside the building, he was surrounded by the devious senators and stabbed once by each one. It is believed that Marcus Brutus, Caesar's best friend and comrade, delivered the final lethal stab to Caesar. Caesar fell, ironically, at the base of Pompey's statue in the Capitol. Oh how cruel fate can be! Mark Antony, the only loyal member of Rome's senate fled the capitol. Will Rome ever see Antony again? Funeral orations will be delivered later on today.
